Meet Me, Your Artist

Hello! Thank you so much for visiting my page. I’m Jill, a self-taught watercolour artist. I started painting after visiting the city of Bath and painting the famous Sally Lunn’s Tea Room from a postcard I’d bought there. Friends loved the result, and I started painting home portraits as special gifts. Our homes are our havens, and having that image reproduced in watercolour is special indeed. Now, painting is my purpose and takes me to another world. I live on the coastline in Deal, Kent, so seascapes, street scenes, and places of beauty inspire me.

My work has a whimsical, magical feel, whether that’s a snowy street on a Christmas night or a summer’s sunrise from the beach. I pay close attention to detail and often include ink to make the colours and detail pop.
