Meet Jill, Your Artist

Jill is a self-taught artist.  She fell in love with watercolours when she visited the beautiful city of Bath and painted Sally Lunn’s Tea Room from a postcard she had bought there. Friends loved the result, so she started painting home portraits as special gifts.  Now, her painting is her purpose and takes her to another world.

Jill lives on the Kent coastline and her inspiration comes from seascapes, street scenes and places of interest.  If a beautiful photograph evokes emotion, she will paint it to replicate those feelings in a very special way.  

Jill’s work has a whimsical, magical feel, whether that’s a snowy street on a Christmas night or a summer’s sunrise from the beach. She pays very close attention to detail and often includes ink, or sometimes watercolour pencil and enamel, to make the colours and detail pop.
